AddThis AddThis. The #1 bookmarking and sharing. An easy way for visitors to bookmark and share our content to their favorite social destinations.
 
MyLibraryBookstore. Buy books, movies, and music at a discount and have them delivered right to your door and help the library too. A small portion of each purchase is given to the library.

Live Homework Help. Get homework help with a LIVE tutor at the other end. Use any computer either at home or in any branch of the library to get real homework help in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. You MUST be a resident of Ouachita Parish and have a library card or special access number to use this service. Live from 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
 
LibraryElf. Having trouble keeping track of your family's library materials and their due dates? Let Library Elf track your stuff. LibraryElf will combine library records from everyone in the family and email you when items are due or ready for pickup. Visit the site to sign up and see the other great features! OPPL is a subscriber library.
 
Literature-Map. Literature-Map helps you find other authors you might like in a visual format. Just type in the name of an author you like to read, click continue and you will get a visual map of other authors who write the same type of book.
 
NextReads. A newsletter service that makes reading suggestions based on subject catagories YOU choose. You will get a monthly newsletter sent to your email address on every subject you choose. Get the latest and greatest suggestions!
   
Online Book Club. So many books, so little time. For all those busy people OPPL has a new service: an Online Book Club that delivers books electronically. Each day, Monday through Friday, the library emails subscribers two or three chapters of a book that takes about 5-minutes to read. Then you can decide if you want to check out the book or put it on hold.
   
TAL Text A Librarian. Text any question to us and we'll text the answer back. Follow the link on the icon to the left for complete instructions.
   
TumbleTalking Books. Your online audio book collection of streaming audio books. It delivers high quality recordings of some of the most popular books in the world right to your home computer - no checkouts, no due dates, nothing to return. You can even bookmark your place and come back later to listen.
   
TumbleReadables. TumbleReadables is an online collection of read-along titles from elementary to high school. The collection features chapter books, early readers, YA/Teen novels, high interest/low level and more. Classics of American an English literature can also be found here.
   
Wowbrary. Sign up for a weekly newsletter or RSS feed of new items at the library. Included are books, DVDs, CDs, and a link to Amazon that will allow you to purchase an item and have a small amount go to the library.
   
wall OPPL YA Book blog. Book reviews, book trailers, and more. Welcome to the Ouachita Parish Public Library YA Blog! This is an online blog where the OPPL YA staff can communicate with teens about new books, book reviews, programs, website suggestions, resources, and other stuff for teens at the library.
