Pumpkin Bash 2017.

     Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 21st from 10 am to 2 pm at the Main Branch. There will be costume contests for ages from birth to 12 years, with a family division. Kids participate in the Literacy Adventure! Play games at all the booths and get your bookmark punched. Then turn it in for a free book appropriate to your age. Meet local authors. Among the other special guests will be Elephant and Piggie, book characters from the Mo Willems series of the same name.
     Balloon artist, stilt walker, Jim Tindad - character artist, Nova Clark with her Black Bayou critters will all be there to entertain and amaze you. Meet the brave firefighters from the Monroe City Fire Department. Find out how you can make Ouachita Parish more beautiful from the good folks at Ouachita Green. Be sure to talk to the members of The Children's Coalition. Jump in the bounce house and get your picture done at the LaSnaparazzi Photo Booth! All this and free popcorn, cotton candy, and lemonade! It just gets better every year!
     Remember that all of the other branches will be closed for Pumpkin Bash.
