To celebrate Read Across America Day on March 2, the Library will give away free books to kids and teens who have Ouachita Parish Public Library cards. No matter if they’ve had a Library card for years or if they sign up on March 2, all kids and teens who have a card are eligible to receive a free book to keep. Books will be available at all branches only on March 2, while supplies last.

Children and teens ages 16 and under must have a parent or legal guardian register the card for them. To register your child for a Library card, simply fill out a form at any branch and bring proof of identity and proof of address. Read details on how to apply for a Library card here.
