Obituary Index

Use the Ouachita Parish Public Library Obituary Index to search for names from death notices and obituaries printed in local newspapers. If you find a listing that interests you, visit the Genealogy department to view the microfilm newspapers. Genealogy staff began this project in 1995 and it now contains over 200,000 names found from the northeast Louisiana area. The database can be be limited by dates and notes such as cemetery name.
